How the calculation works
Each supported instruction has a consumed count and a created count. The checker compares consumption with the previous computed round, and production with the written total. It does not alter your text or guess unknown instructions.
Worked example
(4 sc, inc) x 6 consumes 30 stitches and creates 36. If the written total is [35], that line needs review. An unknown instruction leaves its count unresolved; dependent instructions remain marked for review.
What this tool covers
Choose US or UK source terms. Supports basic and taller stitches through US double treble, nested repeats, chain and slip stitches, joins, colors, FLO/BLO, post targets, magic rings, and written totals. Bobble/bo uses one input and one output for arithmetic; the editor stores piece-specific definitions. Counting chains and joins follows the instructions; a turning chain can be marked (does not count) or (counts as 1). Unknown stitches remain unverified. Use the studio written-course editor for foundation chains, custom definitions, source records and target review. At most 200 courses, 50,000 characters and 5,000 expanded steps. Count agreement does not establish physical shape or seam fit.
Inputs stay in this tab. “Use in a creation” prepares a result for your review in the studio. It does not change an existing creation until you choose Apply.
